Rant: I chose a $40 monthly bus pass over a $300 car repair and it's the best budget move I've made in years.

I sold my old beater, put the repair money into my emergency fund, and now I'm saving over $200 a month on gas and insurance alone, which feels like a huge win. Has anyone else ditched a car and been surprised by how much they saved?
