Realized I was paying $47/month for a gym I hadn't visited in 4 months

Got an email from my bank about a recurring charge and did the math on my gym membership. That's over $500 just gone. What tipped me off was when I went to actually cancel and found out they auto-renewed for another year. Anyone else have a subscription they forgot about for way too long?

Used to think people were crazy for missing stuff like that, but this is a solid wake up call.

@the_brian I get it seems obvious to catch a missing chunk of cash, but it depends on how the money is managed. Four months straight is a long time though, I will admit that. Maybe they only looked at the balance or just trusted it was all there. Happens more often than you'd think with shared accounts.
