Remember when I used to blow $40 a month on coffee runs?

Back in 2019 I'd hit the Starbucks drive thru every morning before work. One Tuesday I looked at my bank statement and saw $180 gone just on coffee that month. I bought a $30 french press and a bag of beans from the local shop. That week I saved $25 and felt like I was hacking the system or something. Anybody else have a moment where a small swap made a huge dent in your spending?

Ask @laura_black what specifically hit hard about it, was it something they went through personally? Sometimes just hearing someone put words to exactly what you're feeling can be a gut punch in the best way. I've had that happen reading random posts before and it catches you off guard.
