Shoutout to the cashier who showed me how to use the store app at Aldi last Thursday
I was standing there trying to figure out why my total was $67 when I only grabbed like 15 things. She just scanned my rewards card and showed me the digital coupons on the app. Saved $12 right there. Now I check the app before I even walk in the store. Has anyone else had a random stranger or worker change how you budget at the grocery store?

My grocery bill went up $8 after I started using the Aldi app last month. The app kept pushing these "limited time" deals on snacks I never would have bought otherwise. Now I'm stuck checking my phone for coupons every week just to break even on groceries I didn't need.

That's a little off though... Aldi doesn't actually have a rewards app or digital coupons like that. They do have a new app for their curbside pickup orders, but it doesn't push snack deals or make you clip coupons. Maybe you're thinking of a different store, like Walmart or Kroger? Their apps are notorious for that kind of thing.

Wait @anthony763, did Aldi actually confirm that app caused the extra spending?
