I was checking out at Fry's and my total came up $212 when I budgeted $150, because I grabbed a pack of ribeyes without checking the price per pound first. I literally had to put half my cart back on the rack while the cashier stared at me - has anyone else had that moment where you realize you forgot the golden rule of never shopping hungry?

Man, ribeyes got expensive. I learned that lesson the hard way too. Now I always check unit prices first.

The unit price thing... my wife's been on me about that for years. I still get distracted by the fancy packaging sometimes though.
