Warning: my old way of buying soap and detergent was costing me $40 a month at Target

I used to grab whatever brand name soap, shampoo, and laundry stuff I needed off the shelf at Target every couple weeks without ever checking the unit price. Last month I started buying the big refill jugs and a $9 bar of Castile soap that I cut into 6 pieces, and my bathroom and laundry spending dropped from around $65 to $22. Does anyone else have a specific swap like this that saved more than they expected, or am I missing a cheaper option for the laundry side?
