Back when my bullet journal was full of codes for different departments

I used to note down everything from manager chats to remote check-ins. Now my pages are cleaner, with just my own tasks. It's easier, but I sometimes flip through old entries and smile. Those messy notes really kept me on track during busy times. I mean, tracking solo just isn't the same.

Hold on, digital calendars are a trap. They hide the mess but they also hide the work. My old color coded chaos showed the actual weight of my week at a glance, all those department codes screaming for attention. Now my phone just shows sterile blocks of time, and I miss seeing the whole ugly, true picture of how busy I really was.

Remember those old school planners with color-coded tabs for every class? Mine looked like a rainbow explosion by midterms. Now everything lives in my phone and it's just... quieter. Funny how the systems that feel like a mess at the time are the ones you look back on fondly, right? Makes you wonder if the struggle to keep it all straight was part of what made it stick.

Actually, phone calendars are way less stressful to keep up with. All that color coding just made it harder to find what you needed quickly. Digital stuff lets you focus on the work, not the organizing.

My color coding was basically a cry for help.

My backpack smelled like old markers and panic by October, honestly. The phone calendar just doesn't hit the same (or smell as weird).
