I was totally against a future log until I tried it for 6 weeks straight
I thought future logs were just busywork for people who like making charts more than actually planning stuff. But after missing two dentist appointments and a friend's wedding last March, I forced myself to set one up with just a few key dates. Turns out having that quick glance at what's coming in May saved me from double-booking myself three times already. Am I the only one who resisted this basic setup for way too long?

What exactly was the part that made you finally cave - the missed appointments piling up or just getting sick of scrambling last minute? Because I see a lot of people swear by future logs but nobody ever admits what actually pushed them over the edge. I'm curious if it was one specific disaster or just general chaos wearing you down.

Nobody mentions the guilt of letting other people down. That got me.

The guilt is REAL and honestly it kept me up more nights than the actual mess. MISSED a work deadline once because I was trying to fix someone else's problem and my brain just couldn't handle the load. Felt like I was letting EVERYONE down at once. My therapist said that's not sustainable but hey, at least I'm consistent in my dysfunction. Now I just tell people up front I might forget their thing if I'm already drowning. It's not great but it's HONEST.
