My bullet journal saved my sanity during a crazy work trip
I had a three day trip to Chicago last month that turned into a mess of changed flights and mixed up meetings. I was ready to lose it, but my journal's travel log page kept me straight. I had a simple spread with columns for flights, hotels, and appointments, and I just kept updating it as things fell apart. By the end, I had crossed out and rewritten about half the entries, but I never missed a thing. How do you guys set up your journals for trips that go off the rails?

Honestly my travel journal is just a mess of sticky notes and half finished lists. Last time I got stuck in Denver I had to tape a whole new page over my original itinerary because the pen bled through. It looked like a crime scene but at least I remembered which hotel I was actually booked at that night.

Ever think a messy journal is the best kind?

Yeah, totally. My notebook is just a bunch of crossed-out to-do lists and coffee stains. It's the only way my brain works on paper. Like @zara_sanchez and her Denver hotel crisis, the mess is where the real story is. If it's too clean, I feel like I didn't actually live any of it. The smudged ink and weird tape jobs are proof I was there.
