My favorite fountain pen leaked all over my weekly spread this morning

I was at my desk in Denver and went to write down a grocery reminder, and my Lamy Safari just dumped a full cartridge of ink right on the page. It ruined three days of tracking and I had to cut the whole spread out of my notebook. Has anyone else had a pen blow up on them mid-use? What do you do to salvage your journal after a mess like that?

Nah Lamy Safaris are usually pretty reliable, but leaving them in a hot car or pocket can make the ink expand and dump like that lol. Let the page fully dry before you touch it, then use some fine grit sandpaper to gently buff the stained paper if you want to write over it. Worst case just tape a fresh piece of paper over the disaster zone and call it a patch job.

Fine grit sandpaper on paper just sounds like it'd shred the whole page though, right?
