Serious question, did anyone else spend months trying to make their weekly spread look like the ones on Instagram before realizing it was making you avoid your own journal?
I finally noticed my Leuchtturm1917 was gathering dust on my kitchen table for three weeks straight because I was so stressed about drawing perfect boxes that I stopped actually using it to plan my day.

That line about the journal gathering dust hit me hard. I got so into finding the perfect gray mildliner for subheadings that I forgot to write down my dentist appointment. My whole system collapsed because I was more worried about the color code than the actual plans. It's funny how the stuff that's supposed to make it better can just ruin the whole point.

Oh my gosh, that line about the journal gathering dust is so real. My friend Sarah had the same thing happen with her fancy planner. She spent an entire Sunday trying to copy some floral border from Pinterest and just gave up. She said it felt like homework instead of something helpful. Now she just uses a pencil and a ruler for quick lines and actually writes in the thing.

What's the point of a planner you're scared to use? @margaret879, your friend Sarah gets it. All that fancy stuff just makes it feel like a chore. A pencil and a ruler gets the job done without the stress.
