Still don't get the obsession with monthly cover pages

I was at a Starbucks in Portland last month working on my bujo and spent 45 minutes trying to draw this elaborate October cover page. Ended up messing up the lettering three times, ripped the page out, and just wrote "Oct" in black pen. Honestly felt way better just using that space for a weekly layout instead. Has anyone else abandoned fancy cover pages for something more practical?

Start by remembering cover pages aren't mandatory in bujo (bullet journal) anyway, they're optional decoration.

Ripped it out? That takes guts. Most people just cover up their mess with a sticker and pretend it never happened.

My buddy tom actually tried the sticker thing once and it ended up peeling off mid-meeting, revealing a sketch of a cat that was supposed to be ironic. Guess he should have taken your advice instead, @amyh12.
