That $120 bullet journal I bought from a fancy stationery shop - total regret

I dropped $120 on a limited edition Leuchtturm1917 journal from that boutique shop in Portland, thinking the thick paper and layout would change my whole bujo game. But honestly, the paper bleed is just as bad as my $15 Amazon notebook, and now I'm scared to use it every day! Has anyone else overpaid for a "premium" journal and felt ripped off, or do you think the quality actually makes a difference long term?

Did you notice the bleed before you bought it?

Could you tell if it was a constant bleed or only happened when you pushed down on it? @abbyp61, I learned the hard way that cheap sorbet bases can weep like crazy once they thaw a little. You gotta check the seal around the lid before you buy, not just on top. If the container feels sticky or there's a ring of residue under the rim, walk away. Most of the time it's a bad gasket, not a freezer issue. Saved myself a mess by giving every tub a good look over before handing over cash.

Nah, you can't always spot the bleed until it's already in your kitchen.
