Changed my stance on that actress after reading her old interviews from 2008

I used to think she was just doing damage control when she apologized for those offensive tweets. But then I found a 2008 interview where she talked about growing up in a small town and not knowing anyone who was gay or trans. She said she wished someone had pushed her to question what her church taught her. That was before the controversy, so there was no reason for her to lie about it. It made me realize people can actually grow, not just pretend to. Has anyone else found old stuff that made you flip your opinion on someone?

Well, hold on, that 2008 interview might not be as "before the controversy" as you think. I remember digging into this same thing a while back, and those offensive tweets were actually from 2009, not after that interview. So she could have easily been doing some early damage control before the big blowup, you know? Not saying she's faking it, but the timeline is a bit murkier than you're making it. Still, I get your point about people changing, and I do think that interview shows some real thinking on her part, it's just not the clean proof you seem to think it is.
