Guy at a dive bar in Cleveland said my apology for a dumb tweet was 'too clean' and now I can't stop thinking about it
Last month I was at a bar near West 25th and got into it with a stranger about a local radio host who got dragged online for an old post and then put out a 3 minute video apology, and the guy leaned in and said "that was written by a lawyer, not a man." Half of me thinks he's right that a short, scripted apology means nothing, but the other half thinks maybe a clean apology is just what people who are scared actually sound like. How do you all tell the difference between a coached apology and a real one when it's short like that?
