Had to choose between accepting an influencer's apology or sticking with my boycott

I decided to give that beauty guru another chance after she admitted she lied about using sustainable packaging, and so far her new videos actually show the real process behind her products but I still feel weird about it - has anyone else gone back on a boycott and regretted it?

Did you unfollow her completely, or just stop buying her stuff for a while?

I mean "completely unfollow" sounds pretty serious but its just social media at the end of the day right? You can always just mute their posts or hide their stories without making it a whole thing. Is it really that deep or are we just overthinking this?

I get what you're saying but I actually DO think it's that deep sometimes. Unfollowing sends a MESSAGE, muting is just hiding from it. If someone's content is genuinely getting to you, a clean break feels way better than this weird halfway thing where you're still technically following them.
