Sat through that entire Shane Dawson apology video from 2020 and I'm still not sure if he meant it.

I watched all 18 minutes twice and counted seven times he looked down at his notes - do you think that means it was rehearsed or he was just nervous?

Yeah the constant note checking REALLY bothered me.

Agree with @charlies37 completely. Watching someone flip through the same three pages every few seconds just kills the flow of a presentation. It makes me think they didn't actually practice or know the material well enough. The worst part is when they check the notes and then still forget what they were going to say, so you just get a long silence instead. Makes me wish people would just use index cards with bullet points instead of a whole script.
