Something about these celebrity apology videos is off and I can't be the only one seeing it

I've been watching a bunch of those 10 minute apology videos from influencers who got caught doing shady stuff. Just saw one this morning from that fitness guy who lied about his meal plans. But here's what bugs me - nobody talks about how they keep using the exact same phrases word for word. Like "I need to take accountability" and "I'm going to seek therapy" show up in almost every single one now. My sister works in PR and she told me these are literally template lines from crisis management firms. There's a whole document they share. So how can we judge if an apology is real when they're all reading from the same script? Has anyone else noticed this pattern or am I reading into it too much

@danielm80 brings up a good point about those docs being outdated, but the celebrity apologies are a whole different beast. My buddy works as a video editor for a media company and he actually got hired to edit one of those apology clips for a YouTuber last year. He told me the whole thing was recorded in like 15 minutes, the person barely looked at the camera, and they literally printed out bullet points from a PR script that was handed to them. The final cut they released had the same "taking accountability" line and "seeking therapy" bit, just like you said. He said the whole thing felt like a chore for the influencer, not like a real apology at all. So yeah, these are manufactured from start to finish, and it's just weird that we're supposed to accept them as genuine.

Respectfully, I gotta push back on that... those Google docs get shared around but they're always missing half the steps or the formatting's all messed up. Someone tried to send me one last week and it was basically useless because the screenshots were from an older version of the software. Plus half the links in them are dead or point to sketchy file sharing sites. Would rather just bookmark the official forums or a trusted blog that keeps things updated. Those docs feel like a wild goose chase half the time.
