Still not buying that Logan Paul apology from 2018

I watched his whole 8 minute video again last week and it still feels like damage control to me. He cried at the right moments but never actually said why making a joke about a dead body was funny in the first place. Has anyone changed their mind on this after seeing his later vlogs?

Yeah exactly... I've seen guys bomb hard and still think they nailed it.

Not really the point though is it, like does the audience's reaction even matter if the comedian can't articulate why something landed? I feel like shock value can carry a bit but if you can't break down the mechanics then you're just guessing at what works. Is knowing the 'why' actually important for being funny or is it more about just having a feel for it?
