That apology video from the chef who yelled at his line cooks, 2 years later

I still think about this one. Back in 2021, this chef in Portland posted a 5 minute apology for going off on his staff. He cried, said he was getting therapy, the whole thing. I watched it live and actually believed him. Then last month I saw a short clip of him at a food festival, same angry tone with a new waiter, and it hit me. I've seen guys like this in my own trade, guys who apologize to save the contract, not because they changed. My question is, how long do you give someone before you decide the apology was just for the camera? Has anyone else had a public figure they backed, then saw them slip again months later?

Honestly, watch what they do for a year, not what they say in five minutes.

Tbh @stellat46, that's spot on, just keep notes on what they actually do and revisit in a year.
