That YouTuber's apology from last week still feels off to me

So there's this guy I used to watch who got caught saying some pretty rough stuff in old videos from 2017. Last Tuesday he dropped a 12 minute apology on his channel saying he was 'young and dumb' back then. But I noticed he didn't actually name what he said or who he hurt, just kind of waved it off as bad jokes. Has anyone else here watched it and felt like he was just trying to save his sponsorship deals instead of actually owning up to it?

2017 was a wild year for everyone, I still wake up in a cold sweat over the haircut I had back then. But saying "young and dumb" without specifics is just a cop-out to keep the ad money rolling in.

Ha, seriously! I totally get it, that "young and dumb" thing is such a vague blanket statement. I mean, I look back at some of the ridiculous decisions I made that year and cringe, like buying a whole inflatable dinosaur costume for no reason and wearing it to a job interview. It wasn't just dumb, it was a specific kind of chaos that deserves its own story.

Yeah man, just own the specific cringe. It kills the vague clickbait.
