The 8-hour podcast deep dive made me hate a YouTuber I used to defend

I burned a whole Saturday listening to that exposé series on the guy who did the fake charity stream, and now I'm wondering if there's a point where hearing every old clip just makes you more biased, not less, so has anyone else walked away from a cancellation rabbit hole feeling like you wasted the effort?

Totally get this. Did the exact same thing with a different creator last year, three hour video about old tweets and livestream moments. By hour two I was just angry at everyone involved, including myself for still listening. And what really got me was that I went in thinking I'd be fair, but the editing was so one-sided I ended up hating a guy I barely cared about before. Wasted a whole afternoon and came out feeling worse, not smarter.
