The podcast apology was 4 minutes of nothing, so I walked away

I was driving home last Tuesday, listening to this true crime podcaster I used to love, and she finally addressed the old tweets where she made those racist jokes back in 2012. She read a scripted apology for like 4 minutes, talked about 'growth' and 'listening', but never actually named the jokes or the people she hurt. I had to make a choice right there in my car at a red light on Route 9: do I give her another shot because people can change over 13 years, or do I hit unsubscribe because it sounds like her lawyer wrote it? I ended up deleting the app from my phone, and honestly it felt good, but now my whole commute playlist is empty and I'm second guessing if I was too harsh. Has anyone else actually forgiven a creator after a vague apology like that, or did you also just walk away and need new content recommendations?
