Blew through 12 foils in one hour, is cheap aluminum actually costing us more?
So last Friday I had a full head of highlights booked and my usual foil brand was out of stock. Picked up the store brand instead, figured a deal is a deal. Halfway through section three the foils started tearing on the edges when I folded them over. Ended up using almost double what I normally would, and the client left with a few pieces that bled together. I mean, I get saving money on supplies, but if I'm redoing sections it's kind of pointless. Is it just me or does anyone else swear by one brand and refuse to switch no matter what? Or am I the only one who's tried to cut costs here and paid for it in time?

Man, same thing happened to me with those cheap foils last month. Ended up having to rewrap half the head and the whole appointment ran 40 minutes over for zero extra pay. Never again, I'd rather pay more upfront than lose my whole afternoon fixing a headache.

Did the shop cut you a deal on the rewrap or just eat the loss?
