Heads up about the new salon supply store in Tempe

Went in yesterday and saw they're selling a line of 'professional' keratin treatments without any required certification. Has anyone else run into this? It's a huge liability.

Used to believe these products were fine for anyone to grab off the shelf. Seeing formaldehyde-based treatments sold without any checks is scary. A client came to me with severe scalp burns from a box kit her friend used. That damage is permanent. It made me realize how dangerous easy access can be. These stores are playing with people's health.

What kind of warning labels were even on that box kit, or was it just buried in tiny print? It's crazy they can sell something that causes permanent harm like it's no different than shampoo.

Read an article last week about a salon getting sued over a similar situation. Makes you wonder who's actually checking these places, right?
