Hot take: I don't think drying hair with a paper towel is the hack everyone says it is
I was at a friend's salon in Austin last month and saw one of the newer stylists drying a client's hair with a paper towel before a blowout. She said she learned it on YouTube. But in my experience with fine hair especially, the paper fibers just snag and cause more frizz than a regular microfiber towel. One of our older stylists even said it leaves lint behind. Has anyone else had issues with this or am I just being too picky?

Same experience here, it's like the fibers just grab onto everything and cause more trouble than it's worth. Think I'll stick with my regular microfiber towel too.

Respectfully disagree, paper towels work fine for my thick hair.

Beg to differ but paper towels are a NIGHTMARE for thick hair. I tried it once and ended up with tiny bits of lint stuck all over my wet strands. It took forever to pick them out and honestly it just dried my hair out way too fast. Microfiber is the way to go for actual thick hair like mine - it actually absorbs water without making a mess.
