Rant: I thought texture shears were a gimmick until a demo at the Chicago show last month
A stylist named Dana did a dry cut with them on stage and the point cutting looked cleaner than anything I get with my regular shears. Now I'm out $180 and my clients keep asking why their layers sit better, so what's the one tool you swore off and then caved on?
Man, texture shears got me too and I swore they were just a way to get stylists to spend money. Then I watched a buddy do a whole shag with them and the ends looked so soft I couldn't believe it. I held out for like two years before I finally broke down and bought a pair. Now I reach for them way more than I ever thought I would, no regrets at all.
