Saw a huge difference after swapping my thinning shears

Used the same cheap shears for 3 years. Finally dropped $120 on a good pair from a supply shop in Austin. My texturizing cuts came out way cleaner on the first try. Has anyone else had that kind of jump after upgrading a single tool?

Craig's raccoon comment got me good. My first set of real shears was a similar jump from a drugstore pair and it felt like cheating. That clean cut the first time is worth the dent in the wallet.

Spent $150 on a pair of Hikari shears last year and it hurt my wallet but my blending looked way less like I let a raccoon at it.
