Shoutout to the barber shop in Austin that changed how I think about fades

I was in Austin for a friend's wedding and popped into this little shop called The Standard. Honestly, the barber there used a comb I've never seen before, it was like a double-sided taper comb with super fine teeth on one end. He said he gets them from a guy in Mexico City and they help him get that super clean line without any guard marks. Ngl, I ordered one online right after the cut. Has anyone else tried a tool like that for men's fades?

Oh man, that's a killer find! I love hearing about those special tools that just WORK. It's wild how one little comb from a specific maker can totally change the game. Makes me want to hunt one down for myself now.

I mean, I get the hype but I've never noticed much difference between combs. A good tool is a good tool, but a lot of it feels like branding to me. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather save the cash.

Honestly, I was right there with Max before. Then I tried a friend's custom comb and it just glided through without any snags. Totally changed my mind about paying for good tools.
