The cheap hair clipper that surprised me

I picked up a $20 Wahl clipper from a drugstore on a whim when my good one died mid-job on a Saturday. Figured it'd be junk for home use only, but it actually cuts clean and hasn't yanked anyone's hair. Has anyone else found a budget tool that actually holds up in a pinch?

Heard a barber on YouTube say cheap clippers are fine if you oil them regular. Did you oil yours before using it?

Well, did you oil them before that first cut? I used to think cheap clippers were just a waste of money no matter what you did, but watching a few barber channels changed my mind. I got a basic set from a discount store, kept them oiled after every use, and they worked fine for over a year before the motor started getting sluggish. The oil really does make a difference in keeping the blades from heating up and snagging on the hair.
