I was at a cafe and a person called me by a wrong name. We had a mix-up where they had me confused with someone else. We both went with it and had a laugh. This gave me an idea for a prompt where two people switch lives by mistake. It could be fun to write about.

That cafe mix-up sounds like the start of a way better Monday than mine, lol. Imagine if you just fully committed and showed up to their job the next day. "Yeah, I'm Steve from accounting, sorry for the delay." Next thing you know you're getting their dental cleaning and picking up their dry cleaning. My life is so boring someone would probably try to switch back immediately.

Lmao honestly if you showed up as Steve from accounting, they'd know something's up the second you tried to do math. That dry cleaning errand would be your first and last task.

Yeah the dry cleaning thing is such a good point... like even without the math, you'd get tripped up on the small stuff. You wouldn't know how they take their coffee, or the inside jokes with their boss. The vibe would be off before you even sat down at their desk.

Actually that fantasy would totally fall apart in real life. Like @the_olivia pointed out, you'd get caught instantly trying to be someone else. A funny minute at a cafe is way different than actually living their complicated life, you know?
