Man, I used to roll my eyes at stuff like that. I figured if a prompt takes 6 hours you're just bad at it or you're overthinking something that should take 5 minutes. Then I actually sat down and tried to write one good haiku and it took me almost two hours. Every word has to carry so much weight when you only get 17 syllables total. You cut one word and the whole thing falls apart, you add one and it sounds clunky. So now I get Dave. Six hours still sounds like a lot but I don't judge him for it anymore.
