I finally got my writing groove back with a $12 notebook and a stupid rule
Been stuck for weeks staring at blank screens. Saw someone mention a trick where you handwrite every prompt idea in a cheap notebook before typing anything. Grabbed one at Target for like $12 and told myself I can only write prompts in there, no planning, no judging. Three days later I have 14 new prompt ideas I actually like. Something about the slowness of handwriting kills my inner critic. Anyone else try switching to paper when your prompts feel stale?

Wait, is this really about the notebook or just about taking a break? People act like spending $12 on paper is some magic cure, but honestly you couldve done the same thing with a free notes app and a two minute timer. Ive tried the handwriting thing a few times and it just made my hand cramp while I stared at the same blank page, just slower. If it works for you, cool, but dont let the Target receipt trick you into thinking the notebook did the work.

Wait, you're saying the notebook itself is the magic part? Nah, the real trick is just making yourself slow down and commit to paper, which forces you to finish a thought before moving on. Apps can do that too, but they also let you delete and redo stuff instantly, which kinda defeats the point.
