Kept writing prompts as full scenes until a guy in my Monday writers group in Boise asked where the story actually was
He said 400 words of setting and I hadn't told him what anybody wanted yet, and he was right. Now I start every prompt with one line of want and let the scene grow from that, but has anyone found a trick for prompts that are supposed to be about a place?
