My whole writing plan fell apart when my laptop screen went dark

It happened right after I typed the first line of a new story last Thursday. The screen just flickered and died, and I hadn't backed up my outline in weeks. I had to finish the draft on my phone, which took forever. Has anyone else had a key tool break right in the middle of a creative burst? What did you do to keep going?

Feel your pain, that's the worst.

Ugh, tell me about it. I swear it happened to me just last week and I'm still annoyed. You just sit there staring at the ceiling wondering why the universe hates you. It's the absolute worst feeling.

I get the feeling, but I don't think the universe hates you. It's just random bad luck. Assigning that kind of meaning to a small annoyance makes it feel way bigger than it is. It's better to just shrug it off as one of those things.
