Serious question, has a slow brewing prompt ever led to your best work?
In my experience, some of my favorite stories came from prompts I sat with for months. Your mileage may vary, but that wait can really shape a plot.

Honestly that slow brew thing is how most good ideas work, not just writing. Letting stuff simmer just works better than forcing it.

Realizing the downtime is part of the process anyway.

Wondering if the real magic happens because your brain starts noticing things differently. I'll have a prompt sitting for weeks, then suddenly see a news story or overhear a conversation that slots right into the plot. The wait trains you to spot connections everywhere, feeding the idea without you even trying.
