Spent $150 on a plotting software and it saved my story

I used to hand-draw all my timelines and character arcs on poster paper. After three failed drafts in a row, I dropped $150 on Plottr. Now I can see plot holes before I write a single chapter. Anyone else find a tool that stopped them from rewriting the same story twice?

Oh man, that's a wild price tag but honestly I get it! I spent like thirty bucks on a beat up old typewriter at a garage sale once and it totally changed how I write dialogue because I couldn't backspace or edit easily. I had to just keep typing forward and that forced me to think ahead. But then the ribbon ran out after three pages and I couldn't find the right size anywhere so now it's just sitting on my shelf looking cool. Anyway, point is I think whatever helps you stop rewriting the same mess twice is worth it even if it's pricey.

Fancy software for plot holes feels like using a laser level to hang a picture frame. Pen and paper never crashed on me either.

Doesn't a pen and paper do the same thing for free?
