The old prompt forum I used to hang out on went dark around 2018
Back in 2014 I was part of this little writing prompt board where people would post like "your character finds a locked door in their house that wasn't there before" and the replies were gold. Then the mods left, spam took over, and it just disappeared one day. Anyone have a prompt that reminds them of those early simple ones?

Wait, did @angela_morgan save any of those? The one that stuck with me was a reply where someone said they'd walk through and just sit in the quiet room on the other side because life was too loud. That one hit different because it wasn't trying to be clever, it was just real. Another good one was a person who said they'd open the door to find their mom in the kitchen making dinner like nothing ever happened, which got a lot of people emotional. Most people went for dramatic answers, but the simple personal ones were what made that thread actually worth reading.
