Just realized the shaky camera tip I always trusted is what makes me fall for some fakes
I used to think shaky handheld motion meant real footage for sure, but after a guy in a Discord server pointed out that some of the worst deepfakes now add fake shake on purpose so people like me drop our guard, I'm honestly not sure if the "real cameras shake" rule helps us spot fakes or just trains us to trust the ones that imitate it best, so which side are you on?

What if the shaky cam thing is backwards and fakes actually look more real because real people stopped caring about camera shake? Most of us watch clips on tiny screens with bad lighting and autofocus hunting anyway, so the shake just blends into the mess instead of sticking out. Maybe the trick isnt spotting shake at all but noticing when a clip has zero boring parts, since real footage always has dead air and awkward pauses.
