My buddy who edits wedding videos called out a fake Zelensky clip in 5 seconds, and I felt dumb for missing it
My friend Marco edits wedding videos for a living and last month he sent me one of those fake Zelensky surrender clips that was going around. He told me to stop looking at the face and watch the shoulders instead, because the faker used the same shoulder motion on loop like a GIF. I pulled it into a free tool and sure enough the shoulders cycled every 2.3 seconds while the mouth did its own thing. Now I check the edges of the frame too, since his clip had this weird smearing around the collar. What other body parts do you all check first when something feels off?
Watched a similar clip a while back and the hands gave it away for me. The guy kept making the same little finger twitch every few seconds, like a loop, and real hands just don't do that when someone is talking. I also look at the neck and jawline now because that area goes all rubbery and melts into the collar when the face gets pasted on. Blinking is another one, fakes either never blink or blink way too much on a timer. Once you spot the loop, you can't unsee it.
