My neighbor showed me a video of his dead dad giving a speech and asked if it was real
He brought his laptop over last Tuesday, all excited about this clip he found online of his father, who passed in 2019, talking about family. The mouth movements were a bit too smooth and the skin texture on the neck looked like plastic, which are classic tells. Has anyone else had a friend bring them something this personal and emotional that turned out to be fake?

Oh wow, that's rough. My cousin got really into those "old photo colorizer" apps and sent me a totally wrong, garish color version of my grandma's wedding picture. It felt so weird to have this fake-looking thing of a real memory, you know?

Wait, did your cousin at least ask first? That's the real crime here. Just handing you a weird, shiny version of your own family memory. It's like someone photoshopping a hat onto your grandma and calling it an upgrade. Those apps always pick the most aggressive blues and pinks too. Gives everything a creepy cartoon feeling.
