Showerthought: Fitness videos used to show real effort. Now I watch for fake breathing patterns.
I liked when you could see the actual strain in old workout clips. Deep fakes make it easy to fake perfect form. I always check if the chest moves right during hard parts. It stops me from trusting bad form advice. Makes you think about how much we have to doubt now.

Spot the same fake effort in all kinds of online videos now. Cooking channels use pre-chopped veggies but act like they're doing it live. DIY guides edit out the hard parts to make projects look easy. It creates a world where nothing feels genuine anymore, and we just accept the lie. Makes me miss when people showed the real struggle instead of hiding it.

That take about "nothing feels genuine" is a bit too bleak for me. I find REAL struggle videos all the time, people just have to look past the big fake accounts. The good stuff is still out there.
