Stopped at a gas station in rural Kansas and their security monitor showed a weatherman whose mouth movements did not match the audio at all

Was I supposed to believe it was just a bad satellite signal or was that a deep fake demo playing on a loop for 15 minutes?

Read somewhere that the old analog satellite signals could drift and cause lip sync issues, but that usually fixes itself after a few minutes. Fifteen minutes of a weatherman talking like a bad dub seems intentional. Almost like someone set that up to mess with people passing through, or maybe a local station ran a test pattern wrong. Did you check if the gas station had any other weird stuff going on?
