That TikTok makeup filter got me good until I looked at the wall

I was watching this beauty influencer do a flawless foundation blend on TikTok and felt so bad about my own makeup skills. Then I noticed the wall behind her kept wobbling slightly like it was alive. I paused the video and checked her ear for that blurry edge artifact, sure enough the whole head was swapped. It really taught me to focus on background consistency and lighting mismatches when spotting deep fakes. Anyone else catch a fake by looking at stuff in the background instead of the face?

But isn't it possible the wall just had a bad paint job?

lol "bad paint job" is being generous. i tried painting my bathroom once and it looked like a toddler went nuts with a roller. ended up with more paint on me than the wall. so yeah maybe this wall just had a lil accident like i did 😂

For me the biggest giveaway is always lighting on the neck. I caught one where the girl had this super smooth perfect face but the shadow under her chin went the wrong direction compared to the window behind her. Once you start looking at how light hits different parts of the frame it gets way easier to spot them. The wall wobble thing is a solid trick too I never thought to watch for that.
