Just discovered a hack for finding deleted Reddit threads that actually works
Been chasing a rant from 3 years ago that got nuked by mods in r/askhistorians. Tried all the usual stuff - removeddit, ceddit, nothing worked. My buddy in Chicago said try the Wayback Machine with the exact URL. First try, nothing. Then he said add ?context=87 to the end of the URL before pasting it in. Boom, there it was. Entire thread preserved with 200+ comments. How does that even work? Has anyone else found random URL tricks that revive dead threads?

My buddy swears by adding "?deep=1" to broken YouTube links. Works half the time.

Wait, is that seriously all it takes? The ?context=87 thing feels like some kind of secret handshake that only the internet gods know about. I've been tearing my hair out over a deleted post from a cooking sub where someone shared their grandma's recipe, and none of the usual tricks worked for me either.
