The assisted living home inspection in Tucson changed my whole approach
I went with my sister to check out a place for our mom last Tuesday. One of the residents pulled me aside and said the night staff only does rounds every 2 hours instead of the promised 1. Now I'm bringing a notepad and timing things myself on every tour. Anyone else had a resident tip them off during a visit?

Wow, that's wild about that resident tipping you off lol. But honestly, I gotta play devil's advocate here - one angry resident who might've had a bad day or a grudge doesn't mean the whole place is a mess. I've seen family members get all worked up over a single story and miss the bigger picture, like how the place handles emergencies or what the food's actually like. You could be wasting hours timing rounds when the real problem might just be one cranky person who's mad about something else entirely.

Oh wow, I gotta push back on that (sorry) but one resident's story isn't enough to judge a whole place.

Take it from someone who's moved around a lot - check the crime maps and talk to 3 or 4 neighbors before you commit to a lease. One story can be a fluke, but patterns don't lie.
