Can we talk about those AI recipe generators?
I tried one last week for a dinner party in Austin and it told me to add a full cup of salt to a chicken marinade. I had to throw everything out and order pizza, which cost me about $40. Are these tools just a weird fad or will they actually get good enough to trust?

A full cup of salt, are you kidding me? That's brutal. I'd be so mad about the wasted food and the pizza bill. It feels like these things just grab random amounts from the internet without any common sense. Why would anyone trust a tool that can't tell the difference between a teaspoon and a cup? Maybe they'll get better, but after a disaster like that, who wants to be the test dummy?

Yeah @mia_baker, that salt story totally changed my view on this stuff.

Right? A cup of salt is crazy. I once had one tell me to use a whole onion when the recipe clearly meant a tablespoon of onion powder.
