What kind of emails were they, mostly? I'm picturing a mountain of old store newsletters and shipping confirmations. Did you even try to open any of them, or was it a lost cause from the start?

Only emails? Man, I wish. My buddy let a work account go for two years and it was mostly replies from some ancient group chat about Fantasy Football from 2017. Like 47 unread threads with subjects like "TRADE DEADLINE IS NEXT TUESDAY" and "WHO'S PAYING FOR THE TROPHY THIS YEAR." He opened one out of curiosity and immediately got six automated calendar invites from people who quit the company three jobs ago.

Oh my god, that's a whole digital landfill. Olivia's right, it's definitely just a pile of expired coupons and order updates. I mean, at that point you can't even call it an inbox anymore, it's more like an archive of spam. I'd be too scared to open any in case it wakes up some ancient promo code and they start emailing me again. Honestly just mark all as read and pretend it never happened.
