Why does nobody talk about how fast those indoor herb gardens die

I bought one of those $120 Aerogarden things back in February because I was tired of paying $4 for a bundle of basil. By March the basil had some kind of mold and the lettuce bolted after two weeks. Has anyone actually kept one of these things going for more than a month?

My friend's herbs got moldy in under a week.

Yeah it's just mold, not the end of the world lol.

Yeah @wendy_henderson21 is right, it's usually no big deal. Just scrape it off and dry the herbs better next time.
