My buddy swore cheap fabric scissors would dull in a month - he was right after 3 cuts through denim.

I ignored him and bought $12 shears that couldn't slice through butter by week two, so what cheap tools have you guys found that just don't hold up at all?

Honestly, is dull scissors really that deep of a problem?

...yeah I actually think it is though. Using dull scissors means you're fighting the tool the whole time, making jagged cuts and crushing the paper instead of slicing it. It takes way longer and your hand gets tired for no good reason. Plus if you're doing any kind of craft or sewing project, a clean cut matters a lot. It's one of those small things that just makes everything harder than it needs to be.
